Akura designed and built Roomia’s premium three-level self-storage facility in St Marys in Sydney’s west, comprising 672 units ranging from 2.25 sqm to 80 sqm in size. With smart access technology, full-height precast panels, and 244 tonnes of in-house manufactured steel, the project blends security, usability and efficiency.

Smart design

Our design achieved 70% site coverage, maximising storage capacity while maintaining ease of access and movement.
The facility is also equipped with smart building access and technology, providing customers with secure, user-friendly entry and management systems.

Delivered through Akura’s integrated design, manufacturing, and construction process, the project showcases our ability to maximise site potential while providing tailored solutions for the self-storage sector.

The facility was built with full-height precast panels and incorporating 244 tonnes of structural steel, all expertly manufactured at Akura’s in-house factories in Kelso, NSW.
Leveraging our in-house capabilities for an end-to-end solution meant that this complex project was delivered to schedule, allowing our client to capitalise on market demand quickly.
