Bringing the First iOR Diesel Service Station to Kelso

Akura designed and constructed the iOR Diesel Service Station in Kelso, NSW, the first of its kind in the Bathurst region. Completed in July 2024, the project demonstrates our ability to deliver durable, efficient infrastructure tailored to the needs of industrial and commercial operations.

Built for heavy vehicles

The 2,000 sqm site features 12 tonnes of structural steel supporting a 5.5 m high canopy, providing structural integrity and clearance for large vehicles. Clear entry and exit points on a corner block enhance accessibility, while modern fixtures and integrated landscaping create a visually appealing facility. By creating a high-quality, durable structure, the project helps iOR establish a strong presence in the Bathurst region while meeting both operational and customer needs.

Our Process

Our team began earthworks on this project in February 2024 and the job was handed over to the client five months later, three weeks ahead of schedule. This turnkey build included a structural steel canopy which was manufactured in our facility only a few minutes down the road from the site. In addition to functionality, the station boasts modern fixtures, pylons, lighting, and barriers, adding to the overall safety and aesthetic appeal of the space. Landscaping complements the design, with large green areas surrounding the site, contributing to an inviting and professional atmosphere.
