A warehouse to support EasyShed’s rapid growth
Address
Nexus Industrial Precinct,Ettamogah NSW
Project Type
Manufacturing Warehouse
Gross Floor Area
7,638 sqm
EasyShed, Australia’s largest shed manufacturer, required a purpose-built facility to support rapid national growth within a tight programme and complex operational brief. Akura delivered a premium industrial headquarters during one of the most challenging periods for the construction industry, providing certainty in both quality and delivery.

A project of size and complexity
Spanning 7,638 sqm, the facility was purpose-built to accommodate large-scale manufacturing, warehousing and national distribution under one roof. The development includes expansive production areas, integrated warehousing, a 450 sqm office and staff amenities, creating a fully connected operational hub. With 7.2 metre height to eaves and B-Double truck access surrounding the building, the site enables efficient freight movement and streamlined logistics to support EasyShed’s growing supply network.
Overview
Designed as a manufacturing warehouse and head office, the structure utilises a steel portal frame with metal cladding and incorporates 73 tonnes of structural steel to achieve the required clear spans and internal flexibility. A precast wall divides office and warehouse zones, ensuring operational separation while maintaining structural integrity. The facility was also classified as a large isolated building, eliminating the need for a fire sprinkler system and delivering cost efficiencies without compromising compliance.
Our Process
Delivered within a nine-month programme — including three months of preconstruction, one month of manufacturing and seven months of construction — the project progressed during pandemic-related material shortages and cost volatility. Through disciplined planning, procurement control and integrated delivery, our team maintained programme certainty and build quality despite external pressures. Early coordination of structural steel and construction sequencing ensured the facility was operational within the required timeframe.
Key Outcomes
The completed EasyShed headquarters now functions as a high-performance national distribution and manufacturing centre. Integrated production, storage and administrative functions support workflow efficiency, while durable materials and considered structural design ensure long-term resilience. Solar loading provisions further support future sustainability initiatives, positioning the facility to evolve alongside EasyShed’s continued growth.

“With the increasing pressure to expand our operation in 2021, we approached Akura as part of an expression of interest. Out of several companies, Akura was very quick to produce architectural drawings along with a project budget. Their experience in manufacturing also helped us make critical decisions regarding building height, layout, and sizing. At the time of awarding the contract, Akura was very transparent in relation to the rapidly increasing material pricing in the marketplace. Akura worked with us to pre-order building materials which ensured our project remained feasible. These discussions with Akura solidified our confidence in their transparent and professional values.”Craig Suggate & Phil Suggate Owners / EasyShed
